Membership in LANSCA is open to all people of goodwill who are interested in meeting citizens from Los Angeles’s sister in Japan and continue to the betterment of relations between the peoples of Japan and the United States through cultural, educational, and civic exchanges.


 

DONATION

LANSCA has been successfully operating annual programs of international goodwill since its formation in 1959, including the Teachers and Student Exchange programs.

To continue to finance these programs we encourage monetary donations, as well as memberships and active volunteering.

In 1959, Los Angeles Nagoya Sister City Affiliation was born as a part of President Eisenhower’s Citizens’ International Exchange Program.

Our sister city in Japan is proud of the unique character where old and new cultures coexist.

ABOUT LANSCA

Los Angeles and Nagoya Sister City Affiliation was born as a part of President Eisenhower’s Citizens’ international Exchange Program in 1959, creating a sister city relationship between the cities of Los Angeles and Nagoya.

The primary goal of the sister city program is to foster mutual understanding between the people of Los Angeles and Nagoya through people-to-people exchange activities.
